Welcome!
My name is Claire and I’m a psychotherapist and the owner of G&G Counseling, a private practice in Austin, TX specializing in relational and emotional health.
I help individuals and couples create more satisfying relationships, strengthen their emotional well-being, and feel more presence and joy in their life.
Individual Therapy for Adults
When we are given time, space, and support, the losses and tensions of life feel much less overwhelming and instead can be used as material to know oneself deeply and develop resilience. I provide individuals with a place where we can untangle what feels overwhelming, safe from judgment and pressure.
What I Help With:
Developing a more compassionate, empowered relationship with yourself
Navigating life transitions and identity shifts
Healing from emotional neglect or developmental trauma
Feeling more grounded, connected, and clear in your decisions
Grief support
Couples Counseling
Couples therapy is my passion and area of specialization. Healthy relationships are foundational to our well-being and many couples long for a relationship that is more connected, nourishing, and resilient. It’s common for couples to view therapy as a reflection of a failing relationship, but I believe the opposite is true. The couples I work with come into therapy because they value their relationship and are making the decision to invest in it.
What I Help With:
Communication breakdowns that leave you both feeling unseen or unheard
Recurring conflict or chronic avoidance
Loss of intimacy or connection
Navigating betrayal or unresolved resentment
Breaking unhealthy generational patterns together
Mismatched communication or conflict styles
Navigating neurodivergence in partnership (e.g., ADHD, autism, sensory sensitivity)
Depth-Oriented Support for Sensitive & Creative Lives
Many people find that the way our culture is structured doesn’t align well with their natural rhythms, sensitivities, or ways of processing. You may see yourself in descriptions of neurodivergence, identify as a highly sensitive person (HSP), be a deep feeler, have strong sensory responses, or simply feel that you respond to the world differently than most people around you. I believe these differences hold incredible richness, creativity, and depth when we know how to work with them.
What I Help With:
Honoring creativity and imagination as vital to wellbeing
Building self-trust and confidence in your unique wiring
Developing sustainable rhythms for work, relationships, and self-care
Creating a fulfilling life outside of traditional molds and expectations
